Glennhouse Getaway is an elevated nature escape that is conveniently located between downtown South Haven, Douglas and Saugatuck, MI. It is beautifully surrounded by a private beach, sand dunes, driftwood, beach stones, and the sound of waves.
The light yet homey coastal theme is enjoyed throughout its 4 bedrooms and multiple spaces for gatherings. There is a bathroom on both the first and second floor of the home.
Kiss the summer sun on the wrap around spacious deck, embrace the sunset on the sand steps away, or take in the moon and sea of stars at night by the fire-pit encased by trees. Any meal can be enjoyed inside or outside on the second screened-in, three season porch and entertainment during the winter remains warm with a hot tub beside the fluffy snow.
Cook your meals with ease as all kitchenware is provided (pots, pans, bowls, utensils, glassware, dishes, silverware, linens, bath and hand towels, washcloths, and soap), as well as a coffee bar. Starter packs of shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, paper towels, and dish soap are also provided. All rooms are completely furnished and brand-new bedding and pillows are provided. Below is a description of each bedroom to better plan your getaway.
Our vision is to create a clean, comfortable, and inviting getaway for every single one of our guests. A professional (Covid-compliant) cleaning is included in every rental package. Upon arrival, there is a brochure available of all the happenings as well as activity ideas for entertainment/relaxing. We enjoy vacationing in this home ourselves and hope it's a place for you to relax with your group as well.

About the Area
Glennhouse Getaway is only 10 minutes from charming downtown South Haven which offers trails, golf courses, farmers markets, maritime history, arts, live music, and culture. The home is one with nature where you may spot chipmunks, dear, squirrels and more. South Haven offers beautiful beaches along Lake Michigan as well as great eateries, award-winning wineries, and quaint boutiques. It is also near Saugatuck and Douglas who also have a lot of great activities to offer. Steps away from the property is a private beach that is great for picnics and sunsets. There are several hikes near the property that are listed here in our manual that details more places to go and things to do.

We had a wonderful time at the Glennhouse Getaway in South Haven. The check-in/check-out was a breeze, the home was perfect for our family of 4. We hosted a family dinner for 10 very comfortably. The location was beautiful. The house was just as described.; Tom was very responsive to questions and all in all, it was perfect! Highly recommend this rental.

The house seems recently remodeled. My family of four had a lot of space in the house. We very much enjoyed the screened in porch. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. We did not use the outdoor fire pit but it that is very nice feature. Communication was great with very fast responses.

Glenn House was a peaceful haven to spend some time with friends from California. The home is spacious, the beds very comfortable, the towels luxurious, the screened porch was wonderful to listen to the birds and the water on the lake. Everything was as described, we would love to return.

Wonderful house, and access to the private beach was incredible! We enjoyed the sun room, so we could still be outside-ish on rainy days. And loved the fully enclosed balcony, where we could let the dog and toddler roam safely. Great place for a family or group of friends to enjoy a beach vacation.

We loved our stay at Glenn House! The home itself is warm and comfortable, and fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy some time on the lake and in nature. The location is perfect — close to the beach and sunset, just a short drive from Fenville wineries, Saugatuck restaurants and South Haven beaches. The beds are super comfortable, there’s plenty of living space to lounge and relax. and the outdoor deck and fire pit are perfect for remote working, morning coffee or a cookout and cocktails. We look forward to our next stay!

We enjoyed the home and loved the area! As you drive up, you can see a lovely view of Lake Michigan. There is an adorable small area with benches right near the home to watch the sunset over the lake. You can walk or drive down to the private beach. We drove since we had small children and it’s steep for a stroller or child to walk. The beach was small, but perfect for us! We had the whole area to ourselves and it was truly beautiful! South Haven was only a 15 minute drive. We loved the playground, walking downtown, and South Beach. Saugatuck is also close and has a fun downtown area to walk around. We loved sitting out on the screened porch during the morning. The beds are very comfortable and towels were soft. We appreciate the overall small details that made our trip enjoyable. This is a great find that we will let others know about! :)

The house was clean and well decorated. The bed was comfy and the kitchen well stocked for our needs. The screened in porch was nice. The private beach was beautiful and secluded. Tom was quick to respond to one minor issue we had and fixed the issue same day. We enjoyed our trip and will return to this area.

We had a wonderful stay over Father’s Day weekend. I’d recommend this home to anyone looking for an area off the beaten path with woods and water nearby. It was an easy enough commute into both Saugatuck and South haven. The house was beautiful and just as described. They paid special attention to the little details that make your stay enjoyable, such as comfortable and cozy bedding, luxurious towels, amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash all provided along with beach towels and backups for everything. We especially loved the screened in porch, deck and outdoor dining table and the fire pit. When we arrived one of the propane tanks had been left on. We let Tom know and he fixed it right away. Communication throughout our stay was prompt and easy!
